EBC Bluestuff NDX Race Pads Development Page 3

I had my 1st road coarse event of the year yesterday and would like to give you some feedback on the Bluestuff NDX pads. This event was also sponsored by EBC Brakes. I didn’t know this till I arrived at New Jersey Motorsports Park. The track was Thunderbolt at NJMP. My compound number is DM2088. I have Stoptech st-60 calipers on the front and st-40 on the rear. My car is a 2007 chrysler 300c srt8 making 469hp to the wheels with BC Racing coilovers, Hotchkis swaybars and front strut tower bar. The entire day it was raining so I was unable to get on the brakes like I would have like to but I was still able to get the rotor temperature up to 1000 degrees Farenhit.

Absolutely zero fade during the five 30 minute sessions I had for the day. The initial bite was great I have at least 85% pad life left. Also my rotors are in great shape. I’m extremely pleased with EBC Brakes Bluestuff NDX. They will be my brake pad of choice for all my track events. I’ll be attending another road coarse event in May. If you have any tweaks to the compound that you’ll like me to test or compare with DM2088 I’ll be glad to assist. I don’t think DM2088 needs any tweaks, it’s perfect for my setup with is a modified, street car weighing 4200lbs.

I did my first event with the new EBC Bluestuff NDX brake pads. It was in a heavy rain and about 60 degrees outside. My 15yr old son (with his permit) and I co-drove my 07 MX5 on the auto-cross course. The brakes had good bite and you could really feel them getting better at about the last two corners. It was a tight course so not a lot of speed to get heat in the brake pads. I was very happy with them I placed first out of 10 cars in my class and had the 6TH fastest time of the day. I was 8TH in Index/Pax. My son did his best so far in the car and was only 4 seconds behind me for 6TH place in class.

We did a event with the Chicago Region of the SCCA. I have up-graded my shocks/struts to Koni's so we where trying to dial them in this weekend. We did pretty good even through I was not happy with the cars handling, but the brakes where great! I was 16TH and my son Devin was 29TH out of 51 cars in the Open Street Tire Class. We where fighting a push all day. I think we could of been much faster than we were. The brakes on the other hand are just getting better every time I drive the car. Like you said, I don't think they where bedded in yet but are really getting there. The bite cold is much better and they are easy to modulate.

We really love them. Thank you.
