Statement of Quality and Origin |

All EBC rotors are made from OE spec grey cast iron, exactly as used on new car production and as many as we have tools for are BRITISH MADE wholly in our own UK foundry. Currently EVERY SINGLE ROTOR sold in Europe and the UK is BRITISH MADE and a majority of the designs specific to the USA are also BRITISH made. The British foundry is constantly expanding its in house tooled range but EBC like every brake manufacturer ....does need occasionally to buy some rotors in from approved sources to complete ranges in overseas markets. None of our competitors will ever tell you where their rotors come from and we at EBC are as disappointed as the rest of the world that cost pressure means there is not ONE foundry left in the USA to supply such parts, other brake brands when asked about origin will just sidestep the question. When we do buy rotors in, they are specified, sampled, tested for element analysis, grain structure, tensile strength, hardness and optimum ductility and tested 100% piece by piece to be perfect for runout on this in house machine. |

It is easy to see where EBC rotors come from, the UK ones are marked Made in UK on the edge, others are marked EBC Premium on the side. Both ranges are perfect for their application and fully guaranteed by EBC Brakes for an industry leading 6 months or 10,000 miles against all issues. There is no other brake factory we know of on this planet with such high integrity in its product, integrity in being honest with the consumer or prepared to make such statements. |

The EBC OE replacement rotors or UPR (Ultimax Plain Rotor) series as we call them are a direct size for size replacement brake rotor made with quality grey iron as used by the OEM builders. These rotors are non slotted and are exact copies of the OEM designs . There are two types of rotors fitted to today’s modern vehicles, the “Solid” and the “Vented” type brake rotor. Consumers often confuse vented rotors with drilled rotors but the fact is if your car is fitted with a vented rotor, you must replace it with the same vented rotor for it to fit and work correctly on your vehicle. The expression “vented”, merely refers to a rotor which has two separating braking faces separated by a “Vaned” core which serves to ventilate the rotor and improve cooling. Vented rotors are normally used on higher performance brake rotor placements and almost all modern cars feature vented rotors. Many cars still use rear brake rotors which are non vented but the EBC fitment guide will automatically pre-select for you the right design. EBC OEM replacement rotors are the ideal choice for general brake replacement for the daily or urban driver who merely wants quality parts to undertake a brake service. Always replace brake pads when replacing rotors, it is false economy to use worn or old pads on new rotors as these can cause hot spots and promote brake fade and more than double bed in time. This is both dangerous and bad economics. When replacing rotors of any kind please remember how important brake safety is to your own well being and either have a professional mechanic install your new brakes or if you are a qualified mechanic use the EBC installation DVD as a guide in support of your vehicle owner’s manual. These installation guide DVD’s can be viewed here and purchased from online vendors. Safety Hint All rotors will be attached to your vehicle axle with a locknut which should ALWAYS be replaced at rotor change, never attempt to re-use a slotted style locknut as popular on many Ford and other quality vehicles. Insufficient locknut torque can cause early wheel bearing failure and or wheels and rotors to become detached from your vehicle. |

Safety Hint Some rotors are attached to your vehicle axle with a SPLIT or self locking nut which should ALWAYS be replaced at rotor change, never attempt to re-use a slotted style locknut as popular on many Ford and other quality vehicles. The use of a previously installed split locknut will prevent to correct torque being achieved and can cause early wheel bearing failure and or wheels and rotors to become detached from your vehicle. On solid nut types take great care to achieve correct wheel bearing adjustment, consult a technician if in doubt for safety reasons |
