WHAT'S HOT? * * * New Polished Rotors For Big Twins.
EBC Custom Bikes, Cruisers & Big Twins
Stainless Steel Custom Rotors for American Motorcycles
Custom Polished brake rotors for American motorcycles

The New EBC range of high lustre brake rotors featuring stainless steel brake rotor rings/blades and a polished stainless steel centre hub. Newer units feature the contoured profile and slotted rotor profile as shown opposite which greatly improves pad break-in and reduces rotor damage (rotor galling). The reason we have opted for stainless steel centre hubs is due to the weight and heavy duty nature of larger American motorcycles often using twin cylinder technology which can lead to more vibration or frame shake.

Front applications We now offer a range of 5 spoke solid brake rotors as shown above left (type 1) and a choice of 5 spoke floating rotors (type 2) in full circle rotor blade design or contoured profile blade design (type 3).

Rear applications We now offer a choice of full circle profile (type 5) or contoured profile (type 4) and both units feature the sturdy 10 button EBC riveted system.

All components stainless. Rivets, washers and spring pressure washers plus both the hub and the rotor blade are stainless steel, no rusty rotors with EBC's new deluxe American motorcycle range.

Most models now feature NEW EBC PATENTED S-DRIVE SYSTEM

What is S-Drive? EBC's new square sided drive button system completely eliminates the chance of rotor warping, extends rotor life and improves consistency of brake effect. Click here for more details.

EBC Organic Brake Pads
Image of EBC Organic Brake Pads
Diagram of

Europe's first and only ECE R90 approved pad. These pads brake as well as sintered pads, as proved by R90 compliance.

Made in our own factory in Bristol, England, the EBC Kevlar® series has now been renamed NAO series or Non-Asbestos Organic, although we still use the famous Dupont Kevlar® fibre in conjunction with other high tech fibres that have come on the market. The NAO series are a superb all round value-for-money replacement for all levels of motorcycle and are still extremely popular with many riders who prefer the "feel" of organic pads. NAO series are fully TUV tested and KBA certified and conform to the new ECE R90 brake regulations which are about to storm the European market. EBC is at the forefront of this technology and will be the first on the market to offer Reg. 90 approved pads and packaging. Most EBC organic pads have expansion grooves which reduce noise and prevent cracking. The aramid fibre compound with non-ferrous particles helps to prevent surface "scorching" under load.

NOW ECE R90 APPROVED

What does R90 mean? Cheap and nasty motorcycle brakes are the quickest way to an accident no matter where or how you ride.

EBC Brakes welcomes the new legislation on ECE R90 brake safety testing that shuts the door on unworthy parts. Until recently all EBC Brakes were tested by the notorious German TUV test centres and carried the KBA (German Motor Vehicle Organisation) certification number. EBC Brakes is pleased to announce that after extensive multi-model testing at the MIRA (Motor Industries Research Association) test track located at Nuneaton, UK, that both EBC Kevlar® organic pads and EBC Double-H sintered pads have been approved.

WITH VENT GROOVE to prevent backplate deflection and possible de-bond. EBC uses a wide moulded vent groove dividing the pad compact into two separate pucks, ideal for designs with thin back plates such as the FA400 and FA434.

EBC pads DO NOT do this!

Pad debond can happen after corrosion gets under the edges of your pads, EBC have a unique way to prevent this by using non corrosive elements in the pad matrix that do not interact with the steel backing plates and using its revolutionary DOUBLE COMPACT system, which prevents backplate flexion and edge lifting which leads to pad de bond.

GLYCOL DOT-4 Brake Fluid
GLYCOL BF-307
SILICONE DOT-5 Brake Fluid

General purpose glycol fluid with wet boiling point of 260°C/500°F for most modern motorcycle and automotive brake systems. CANNOT be mixed with Dot 5 silicone fluids.

A highly refined DOT 4 based Glycol fluid that has less tendency to cause vapour lock. Please remember that once you open this container it will start to degrade so it is important to use it, seal your vehicles brake system and discard the remainder of the can due to shelf life issues. CANNOT be mixed with Dot 5 silicone fluids. Unlike Glycol fluids, silicone does not damage or stain paintwork and is fitted to some high quality US built motorcycles. It is IMPERATIVE to check your owners manual and NOT to mix this fluid with Glycol fluids (as above) otherwise damage can occur to hydraulic seals and your entire brake system.
