EBC Extreme Pro™
Perfect for Street AND for Racing! |
The latest in sintered metal fusion technology is now available for all modern sportbikes and road race fitments from the high tech EBC plant in Cleveland Ohio USA.
Our research lab has been working over the last year to improve certain aspects of our sintered pad range for roadracing and have come up with some interesting new materials. The new Extreme Pro range has been dyno tested, race track tested, road tested and was used by 8 of the top 20 riders in the Daytona 200 races in Spring 2008. The new material heat cycles better, feels better at the brake lever, last longer and beds in faster. |
Extreme Pro pads are ideal for faster street bikes and race bikes alike but as they include many new additives and slower manufaturing processes they are more expensive and target the no compromise rider or race team. Click here to see further details

Europe's first and only ECE R90 approved pad. These pads brake as well as sintered pads, as proved by R90 compliance.
Made in our own factory in Bristol, England, the EBC Kevlar® series has now been renamed NAO series or Non-Asbestos Organic, although we still use the famous Dupont Kevlar® fibre in conjunction with other high tech fibres that have come on the market. The NAO series are a superb all round value-for-money replacement for all levels of motorcycle and are still extremely popular with many riders who prefer the "feel" of organic pads. NAO series are fully TUV tested and KBA certified and conform to the new ECE R90 brake regulations which are about to storm the European market. EBC is at the forefront of this technology and will be the first on the market to offer Reg. 90 approved pads and packaging. Most EBC organic pads have expansion grooves which reduce noise and prevent cracking. The aramid fibre compound with non-ferrous particles helps to prevent surface "scorching" under load. |

NOW ECE R90 APPROVED
What does R90 mean? Cheap and nasty motorcycle brakes are the quickest way to an accident no matter where or how you ride. |
EBC Brakes welcomes the new legislation on ECE R90 brake safety testing that shuts the door on unworthy parts. Until recently all EBC Brakes were tested by the notorious German TUV test centres and carried the KBA (German Motor Vehicle Organisation) certification number. EBC Brakes is pleased to announce that after extensive multi-model testing at the MIRA (Motor Industries Research Association) test track located at Nuneaton, UK, that both EBC Kevlar® organic pads and EBC Double-H sintered pads have been approved. |
EBC Double-H Superbike Pads™ |
Europe's first and only ECE R90 approved pad. EBC Double-H pads are the grippiest street legal brake pads you can buy.
These pads benefit from the highest friction HH rating for maximum stopping power, made from sintered copper alloy like original pads for longer life and perfect braking under all riding conditions, wet, dry, hot or cold. When required, unique stainless steel radiator plates are fitted to reduce heat transer into bikes hydraulics. The unique double segment vented design keeps the pads cooler and prevents pad drag and overheat or fade.
When EBC broke into the sintered pad market, it really did its homework. We took all the current market offerings, tested them, analysed them and beat them. We removed the iron powders commonly used in many sintered pads that cause the pad to "weld" to the disc under corrosion when the bike is parked and replaced it with stainless powder. We took out several other particles which our competitors still use which caused massive disc damage and created our launch material. After five years and millions of sets sold we upgraded the formulation again to our SB101C material which completely eliminated BRAKE NOISE, improved the pads HEAT CYCLING CAPABILITY and improved feel. What we have today for the faster rider is the pinnacle of sintered copper alloy engineering, researched and tested in our own laboratories by engineers with over 50 years experience in sintered pad technology. |

EBC XC Series - Fully Floating Front Disc/Rotor |
Perfect for Street AND for Racing! |
The steel used in the new EBC rotor blades is also a special stainless blend with higher friction effect than normal heat treated stainless steel found on stock discs and boasts up to 10% improvement in friction effect improving brakes even further.
Weight of the new X and XC series is then reduced by another 5-10% by using a 6 only button drive system on a lightweight alloy centre hub, which once again grabs the lead over stock parts. |
This cannot be switched to the lighter 6 button system on alloy hubs because they are still stuck in a rut using circular rivets. Circular rivets demand more contact points to get the same geometric centralisation and still avoid generating slack in the drive direction because, being circles inside circles they only offer point contact. The SD system employs LINE contact and as such rotor blades are much more positively retained about the centre hub and never go slack in the drive direction even after abuse.
All featuring NEW EBC PATENTED S-DRIVE SYSTEM
What is S-Drive? EBC's new square sided drive button system completely eliminates the chance of rotor warping, extends rotor life and improves consistency of brake effect. Click here for more details. |

EBC X Series - Fully Floating Front Disc/Rotor |
Perfect for Street AND for Racing! |
X Series - Fully floating front rotor
Ultra lightweight new EBC X series floating front rotors for sportbikes and road racers are now available from EBC Dealers across the USA although as a new line many dealers will have to special order these for you (takes 2-3 days).
The new rotors feature EBC's unique and patented S-Drive button system which features square sided rivets captured in square drive pockets on the rotor and hub which allow the outer rotor blade to expand and contract freely under the heat of braking without suffering rivet lock. |
Rivet lock is the term used when rotors heat up under heavy braking and the rotor blade contacts the (normally circular) rivets that separate the inner rotor hub and the outer rotor blade. The new EBC system completely eliminates this problem area which causes 100% of the failures of rotors suffering from distortion and brake vibration.
These rotors are equipped with the NEW EBC PATENTED S-DRIVE SYSTEM

EBC Pro-lite Replacement Rotor |
The EBC Pro-lite series has become an aftermarket standard worldwide because of its very close similarity to the original disc but offering a higher friction (18% extra) braking power over stainless steel and being a safe, riveted, sturdy construction as opposed to the risky circlip system used by some of our competitors. If the OEM manufacturers thought circlips were a good idea, they would have put them on the original bikes. It is also worth explaining to your customers the false economy of buying replacement rotor ring kits with the risky circlip systems. |

EBC Rear Solid Contour Design Rotors |
With contoured profile to reduce weight, rear versions of this new programme are made in HPSR steel and zinc lated to avoid corrosion. The latest EBC contour PLUS rotors are made with special stainless steel and new lightweight profile and feature the new scraper slot system which has proved to be so successful in preventing early life rotor damage when bedding in new brakes. The scraper slots remove any loose particles/debris as the pads bed in during early life after fitment and prevent rotor scoring.

GLYCOL DOT-4 Brake Fluid |
GLYCOL BF-307 |
SILICONE DOT-5 Brake Fluid |
General purpose glycol fluid with wet boiling point of 260°C/500°F for most modern motorcycle and automotive brake systems. CANNOT be mixed with Dot 5 silicone fluids.
A highly refined DOT 4 based Glycol fluid that has less tendency to cause vapour lock. Please remember that once you open this container it will start to degrade so it is important to use it, seal your vehicles brake system and discard the remainder of the can due to shelf life issues. CANNOT be mixed with Dot 5 silicone fluids. |
Unlike Glycol fluids, silicone does not damage or stain paintwork and is fitted to some high quality US built motorcycles. It is IMPERATIVE to check your owners manual and NOT to mix this fluid with Glycol fluids (as above) otherwise damage can occur to hydraulic seals and your entire brake system. |
