EBC European TT or USA X Series Carbon Brake Pads
|
|
For several years now this successful carbon graphite formula has been the choice of top enduro and moto-x riders for certain conditions around the world. The man advantage of this type of material is its lack of heat generation or conduction, which keeps both the rotor and caliper cool. Top Enduro and Hare Scrambles USA riders prefer this material for fast and dry riding conditions. The material is also very useable for standard sport ATV useage. Also TUV tested and KBA approved for street use on enduro bikes.

EBC Rear Solid Contour Design Rotors |
|
With contoured profile to reduce weight, rear versions of this new programme are made in HPSR steel and zinc lated to avoid corrosion. The latest EBC contour PLUS rotors are made with special stainless steel and new lightweight profile and feature the new scraper slot system which has proved to be so successful in preventing early life rotor damage when bedding in new brakes. The scraper slots remove any loose particles/debris as the pads bed in during early life after fitment and prevent rotor scoring.

Europe's first and only ECE R90 approved pad. These pads brake as well as sintered pads, as proved by R90 compliance.
Made in our own factory in Bristol, England, the EBC Kevlar® series has now been renamed NAO series or Non-Asbestos Organic, although we still use the famous Dupont Kevlar® fibre in conjunction with other high tech fibres that have come on the market. The NAO series are a superb all round value-for-money replacement for all levels of motorcycle and are still extremely popular with many riders who prefer the "feel" of organic pads. |
NAO series are fully TUV tested and KBA certified and conform to the new ECE R90 brake regulations which are about to storm the European market. EBC is at the forefront of this technology and will be the first on the market to offer Reg. 90 approved pads and packaging. Most EBC organic pads have expansion grooves which reduce noise and prevent cracking. The aramid fibre compound with non-ferrous particles helps to prevent surface "scorching" under load.

NOW ECE R90 APPROVED
What does R90 mean? Cheap and nasty motorcycle brakes are the quickest way to an accident no matter where or how you ride. EBC Brakes welcomes the new legislation on ECE R90 brake safety testing that shuts the door on unworthy parts. |
|
Until recently all EBC Brakes were tested by the notorious German TUV test centres and carried the KBA (German Motor Vehicle Organisation) certification number. EBC Brakes is pleased to announce that after extensive multi-model testing at the MIRA (Motor Industries Research Association) test track located at Nuneaton, UK, that both EBC Kevlar® organic pads and EBC Double-H sintered pads have been approved. |

|
|
These pads are an excellent choice of all weather performance formulation for moto-X and ATV racing, with the highest HH rated friction for maximum stopping power and long lifetime. Although the new Extreme Pro sintered pads will also be a hot favourite amongst racers until 2008 MX-S pads have been very popular in cross country riding.
Being a sintered copper alloy MX-S pads also have excellent durability in sand, wet and mud riding and are at the same time less aggressive to the brake rotor. |
FREE SLIDER PINS are included with most pad sets except those with multiple pin choices to replace worn bent or seized pin sets. The pin sets provided free in the EBC set are mostly external hex drive pins which are easier to remove than internal hexagon formed “allen” key or hex wrench internal type hardware. Diamond ground surface finish accelerates pad break-in.

GLYCOL DOT-4 Brake Fluid |
GLYCOL BF-307 |
SILICONE DOT-5 Brake Fluid |
General purpose glycol fluid with wet boiling point of 260°C/500°F for most modern motorcycle and automotive brake systems. CANNOT be mixed with Dot 5 silicone fluids.
|
A highly refined DOT 4 based Glycol fluid that has less tendency to cause vapour lock. Please remember that once you open this container it will start to degrade so it is important to use it, seal your vehicles brake system and discard the remainder of the can due to shelf life issues. CANNOT be mixed with Dot 5 silicone fluids. |
Unlike Glycol fluids, silicone does not damage or stain paintwork and is fitted to some high quality US built motorcycles. It is IMPERATIVE to check your owners manual and NOT to mix this fluid with Glycol fluids (as above) otherwise damage can occur to hydraulic seals and your entire brake system. |
