Smaller wheels means faster rotational speeds of your brake rotor plus the use of a dual purpose machine on a highway with asphalt means far higher brake loads. BETTER BRAKES are essential for any highway use of Supermoto machines and here is how to achieve those better brakes.
The EBC Brakes 320 mm diameter HUGE Supermoto rotors are the ideal way to obtain better brakes and safer braking. Some machines may already have 320mm rotors but for those machines that do not, the new EBC Brakes oversize kit is the perfect choice.
Rotor kits come complete with lightweight aluminium hubs fitted with stainless steel contoured profile (these are not wave rotors but have the same effect) rotor blades attached by sturdy factory inserted rivets.
The kits also include a billet alloy relocation bracket and hardware as needed for a fast and easy install.
When changing brakes consider also upgrading your brake pads to the new EBC Brakes EPFA series high friction pads. Many brakes applied to off road machines are not necessarily designed for fast highway speeds and some cheaper pads can even fade and wear quickly. You need to remember that riding on a highway with an asphalt surface in traffic require good brakes and quality pads is a MUST, please do not overlook this important safety consideration and to read more about EBC Brakes EPFA series pads click here.
In almost every case, EBC Brake rotors are lighter, better looking, made with improved revolutionary technologies and cost less than original parts.
Because we build and design rotors as a matched brake set it is always advisable to use EBC Brake pads with EBC Brake rotors. For this reason there is NO WARRANTY on EBC Brake rotors when used with other grades of brake pad, original or aftermarket. We are not just trying to up-sell customers, some pads are simply moiré abrasive than others and spending good money on new EBC rotors and then ruining them with some untested brake formulation simply doesn’t make sense. We can control our own products but we don’t engineer anything to work with other people’s parts that may have been designed with something completely different in mind. There are many materials used in Motorcycle Brake rotors unlike the automotive industry where EVERY rotor is made from a standard “Grey” cast iron. Every pad designer in the automotive industry knows what he is working to match up with as an opposing surface. |
