When the clutch on your motorcycle starts to slip it will need replacing and also the clutch springs will need replacing.
The best way to do this is with the EBC complete streetbike clutch rebuild kit SRC series or the new SRK complete rebuild kit which has the extra steel plates included.
The friction plates in both the SRC and SRK Kits are lined with a Kevlar fibre impregnated lining that grips and last longer than standard cork based plates.
The SRC and SRK clutches do "Take up" more quickly than Cork plates and you are advised to acquaint yourself with the new feel of the clutch before returning the bike to highway use.
Use correct grades of transmission oil as recommended by the manufacturer and never reduce viscosity or quantity of lube outside the handbook spec.
Replacement of a clutch is a job for a professional mechanic, do not attempt such work unless you are qualified. |

Some safety hints for you!
Never park the motorcycle in gear. Especially with electric start models, a sudden lunge forward can cause an accident, normally there is an electronic over ride to prevent this but if that fails, the bike could move.

Never reverse a Motorcycle with the vehicle in gear and the clutch open. If you slip or loose your footing the bike can lurch forward, spin around and you could seriously injure yourself.

Never rev an engine excessively whilst in gear with the clutch open. Racers of course do this but this is on a race track with clear conditions ahead and a lot of experience. Revving an engine at a highway junction or in traffic is dangerous, one slip and the bike will shoot forward.
