It was a perfect day for Damien at New Plymouth over the weekend. He came from behind in both MX 1 races to pass Honda’s Peter Broxholme and win the Championship.

In the 125cc class he rode safe and won both races without any challenges.

Damien used Reikon footpegs, clutch assembly, Sprockets, grips and bars on both his race machines throughout the Championship series. He also used Pirelli Mid Soft 32 tyres at New Plymouth and had perfect grip in the slippery conditions.

Keiran Leigh made a comeback at New Plymouth and finished only one race inside the top 10. In race one he was stuck at the bottom of a massive first turn crash and DNFed.

I stopped racing after the first 250c race. I stirred up my right wrist and knew I would not be much use on the track so I focused on Damien and his Championship quest in MX1.

Our next team event is the Summer X at Whakatane after Christmas. Keiran Leigh will race the Supercross Championship in the new year.
