Irish Supersport Championship leader Glenn Irwin 2009 gained sponsorship from EBC Brakes via Dave Cutler of Timeless Distributors in 2009 and continues to use EBC Brakes under a direct EBC sponsorship in 2010
Glenn's recent Accomplishments include:
- Becoming the first rider in history to win the Irish national 600 title in what was to be my 1st season of clubman 600 racing.
- Breaking the irish lap record around mondello internation circuit by 2seconds, (1sec off Call Crutchlow 2006 pole time)
- Becoming only the 5th 600 rider in history to lap Bishopscourt below 70 seconds joining Alistair Seeley/Tom Sykes/Michael Laverty and Ian Lowry.
- Breaking Michael Lavertys 600 lap record at Kirkistown from a 57.222 to a 57.100
- Winning the Thundersport 600 race at Oulton Park by 18seconds
- Qualifying 5th in the German IDM Championship at Assen with stock spec motors, 0.5 seconds faster than the European stock 600 pole time
- Winning the Thundersport 600 race at Donington Park (moto gp event) by 35 seconds overy Jenny Tinmouth
- Breaking the clubman lap record at bishopscourt by 4seconds, clubman lap record at kirkistown by 2.6seconds and the clubman lap record at Mondello internation by 6 seconds.
- Making a wild card appearance at Imola world supersport race.
- Getting offered a deal to ride the last 3 European Superstock 600 rounds which unfortunately i had to turn down.
- Beeting Jeremy Mcwilliams in 2 out of 2 races at Kirkistown in july, along with BJ Toal and Bruce Anstey
- For 2010 I am currently leading the Irish Supersport Championship , I have already beaten Bruce Anstey and Cameron Donald this season.
- We had expected to go to British Supersport or European Superstock but unfortunately funds were against us.
