"I finally got a chance to use the Yellowstuff brake pads at an Autocross event and I must say I was quite impressed. To start I was very interested to see how the brakes would perform because of the time they do take to heat up and if they would stay warm in between runs. Well it just so happened that we had the worst grid setup in history and I had about 30 minutes in between runs, but the brake pads held up just fine.

After going through run one I really felt confident in the brake pads even if they were a little cold. By run 3 they took one application and were right where I needed. I have never had more confidence in my braking system and it really helped me go out there and be ok with braking as late and as hard as possible and I put down some really good times. So again I want to say thank you to you and everyone at EBC Brakes. I will definitely be buying pads from you guys for every need."

We never bedded them in properly just put them on and ran them for the most part! We didn't even get through a whole set of pads either that was disgusting! They stopped awesome every time, no noise, no fade, no anything, just extremely dependable and quick. You guys have an amazing product, I Walked around the pits during my driving breaks and watched other teams coming in with their Brakes on fire and changing brakes 2-3 times a day I felt like I should have been doing something so I helped the guys next to me do a brake job on their car. I was in shock at how late and how hard we could brake for corner entry, it got us by a ton of cars for the four hours I drove I counted on the brakes repeatedly to help me get set up and dive underneath people into the turns.

"Wow, the way the Bluestuff Brake Pads performed this weekend were well beyond my expectations. I had to completely relearn brake zones because I could push so much deeper. The performance and durability of the 2081s was leaps ahead of both the old formula and the HT-10s I cooked in the prior weekend. I can't consider my brakes a weakness anymore and I should be on the podium every single event. The Bluestuff Brake Pads even have me thinking I should keep the beautiful 14" Stoptechs BBK in the garage so I don't get bumped up a race class."

"I use EBC Brakes products on most of my cars and am glad to help with development any time we can. We have a great facility here at the MotorSport Ranch www.motorsportranch.com that allows us to test regularly, 12 months a year . I have used EBC Brakes products on a variety of heavier high HP cars and am willing to evaluate additional compounds. Vehicles include Lamborghini Gallardo, Porsche GT3 Cup Race car; Dodge Viper, and even Ferrari F40. the street cars see street use as well."

"Just wanted to drop you a line and let you know that the Bluestuff Brake Pads work great in AutoX. Sunday I drove in the first Autocross of the year for NASA Mid Atlantic. With Temperatures in the low 50s and overcast, I thought I’d be testing in the rain but the weather held out.

The immediate impressions I got using the Bluestuff Brake Pads in autocrossing was that they definitely bite even when cold. I broke harder than usual to try and give them a workout, thinking that I might need to get the rotor temps up in order to take full advantage of the pads. The two hour heat had only about 25 cars so I was getting a run about every 8-10 minutes for the entire two hours. I took temperature readings on the rotors after every run and the hottest I got the rotors was just under 200 degrees Farenheit. Since this was an autocross, I did not have any brake ducts for extra cooling. As I expected, my front temperatures were slightly higher than the rear. But even at under 200 degrees the Bluestuff Brake Pads performed better than I thought. Not too bad for a car and driver weight of right at 4000 pounds on OEM style plain faced rotors.

Over all, I was able to carry more speed before braking, brake harder and later. I also started getting a better sense of exactly where the antilock threshold was to the point it became more predictable. Much more so than the yellows. I know they are not really meant for it, but since I am lazy I have left the blues on for every day street driving as well and they are surprisingly street friendly and rotor friendly.

I am looking at several road course events over the next two months. Hopefully I can get up with George and we can both get out to VIR at the same time."
