Hooman Rahimi uses EBC Brakes components on his boosted Nissan 370Z
Tennessee-based pro drifter, Hooman Rahimi, is once again competing in the PROSPEC category of the prestigious Formula Drift series in the USA.
Rahimi continues to entrust EBC Brakes Racing’s Apollo Big Brake Kit with RP-1™ pads and GD rotors on his highly capable turbocharged LSX-powered Nissan 370Z.
Following mixed fortunes in the first two rounds of the season, we next caught up with Rahimi off the back of round 3 at the iconic Lucas Oil Indianapolis Raceway Park, where it was another rollercoaster of a weekend for the driver.

“The event started off a bit rough as the first practice session gave us 0 laps of practice because of all the accidents that happened before us. They made some track changes and we ended up getting a few laps in our next practice session.”
“We felt good but not great going into battle, but that is how the cards fall sometimes. We ended up winning our first battle in seeding and got matched up with the season points leader for Top 32. It was a tough battle. We ended up going OMT. In the first battle we had a small decel off the bank and the chase driver ran into our car and the judges deemed me at fault and voted for a one more time.”
“In the one more time battle, unfortunately in the chase the run up was a little funky and we gave too much room which ruined our chase. We put down a heater lead run in our last lap, but it was too little too late. A one more time battle with the points leader is probably the best loss we can accept but I wasn’t satisfied with my error. It was a long painful drive home.”
“We are headed to Vegas next week for our last round of Formula Drift where I put it all on the line! I am very keen to high stakes and poker so hopefully the first time drifting in Vegas goes as planned!
“We are going to show up and risk it all to get on that box! We will be playing some poker as well and hopefully we run good both in cards and in drifting!”
