EBC Brakes Racing Launches ‘CC Series’ Carbon Ceramic Rotor Conversions

Cars fitted with carbon ceramic rotors as standard require very expensive replacement parts, which many people do not wish to entertain.

The clear braking preference of design by the world is a quality rotor that features grey cast iron rotor rings and a lightweight hub, and this is what the EBC units deliver, but with a difference:

1) 100% British-made in the EBC UK Headquarters, using European cast and machined rotor rings.

2) Lightweight billet alloy centre hubs attached to the rotor ring, with EBC trademark SD (Square-Drive) system bobbins.

3) All stainless-steel hardware.

4) A true fully floating design.

SPONSORED RIDER/DRIVER UPDATE

Louis Ruff of Ruff Racing Team is currently competing in Class 2 of the Classic Sports Car Club’s Morgan Challenge race series, relying on EBC Brakes Racing’s RP-X™ front brake pads and Bluestuff rear brake pads in his Plus Four race car. The first round of the year took the roadshow to Derbyshire’s Donington Park Circuit, where Ruff secured multiple class wins and fastest laps to strongly set his intentions for the rest of the season.

For 2025, Rob Lewis is once again competing in the Modified Ford Series in his Mk1 Ford Focus ST170 (Class B). Following a colourful 2024 season and some serious overhauls to the car over the winter, Lewis was back out in force for the first two rounds of 2025, held at Snetterton and Oulton Park respectively where he picked up some great results.

Martyn Henry is competing in the Pro class of Time Attack UK, in his heavily modified Vauxhall Astra VXR. the rear axle of his fierce hot hatch. The first two rounds of 2025 took Henry and his aero-clad car to Lincolnshire’s Cadwell Park Circuit and Derbyshire’s Donington Park respectively, where Henry suffered from some early-season gremlins and adverse weather to make things challenging.

Alex Boam is currently racing in Class B+ of the Modified Fords Series in his Fiesta ST150 1.6 EcoBoost. At the recent Oulton Park round, he switched his braking setup to incorporate EBC Brakes Racing SR-11™ sintered endurance race pads (front) and EBC Brakes Bluestuff pads (rear). This switched seemed to help him apply the confidence required in the braking zones to achieve an impressive class victory.
